The temporary exhibition displayed a very special view on a selection of objects from the collections of Free University Berlin. 

With the short life span of a temporary exhibition in mind, an effort was made to keep the material needed for the display within the cycle of use. In a curatorial process existing display cases from the various institutions of the university were chosen and held together to topical islands by custom build platforms made from fast growing untreated poplar wood. 

A future use for these timber panels was already anticipated in the design of the first life of the material and the dimensions of possible future domestic furniture incorporated.
