Remodelling of a one-bedroom courtyard apartment
The task was to provide two bedrooms and as much daylight as possible. The idea was to open up a corridor long the entire window façade. This passage now provides a bright and fluid space while a corridor at the windowless back façade provides for tucked away storage.
The inner bathroom receives plenty of daylight through a floor-to-ceiling high glass pane towards the wide French window. The kitchen wall of the open living space being perpendicular to the French window throws daylight into the large “Berliner Zimmer” to which it is diagonally positioned.
